Chapter 2
"Getting to Know You"
“Wow!” they said together as they walked into Aaron’s dressing room. “This is like...heaven!” Stephanie said. “Look at all this stuff!” Britney said. Stephanie sighed as she sat in a chair. “Aaron sat here!!” she said smiling. They laughed as they sat on the couch. Just then someone came in. “Hey girls it will be about fifteen more minutes or more. Aaron said for you to just make yourselves at home; chill, listen to some music! Here is his new CD! Check it out!” a lady said tossing Steph the CD. “Ok thanks!” Stephanie said as the lady left. “This isn’t even in stores yet!” Ashley said. “I know!!” Stephanie said putting in the CD. “Just when you thought it was safe!” Aaron’s voice busted out of the CD player. They got up and boogied to it. Then “To All the Girls” came on; they listened for a while and Stephanie said, “Oh this song is so sweet!” “Yeah!” Britney said. They danced to his other songs and forgot what was going on. They were goofing off and having fun when Aaron walked in. He just stood smiling, watching them dance. “This is so fu...” Stephanie was about to say when they all three turned around and came face to face with Aaron. “I...I...” Steph stuttered, “You were great!” Aaron finished. “Thanks!” they all said.
They all sat down and Aaron turned off the music. “The reason I wanted you guys to stay is because I wanted to get to know you girls better.” Aaron said. “For real?!? All these girls and you chose us?” Stephanie said. “Yeah!” he replied. “Why?” Ashley asked. “You guys seemed cool! And Steph was the only girl I saw who looked like she had been crying! It may seem crazy, but I think it is flattering!” he said. “Ha! You see! I’m not weird, he thinks it’s flattering...” she stopped, “You think it is flattering?” “Yeah!” he said smiling, “Well hey I know you have to get home, and I gotta go to sleep. Being that this is my last concert on this tour; I have the next week off, and I‘m spending it at home. So you guys wanna hang out tomorrow?” “Ok Ashley, it is time to pinch me...I’m dreaming!” Stephanie said. “Owe!” she said. “It isn’t a dream Steph!” Britney said. “Ha Ha! No dream, this is for real! So you think ya’ll can hang out?” Aaron said. “Yeah I hope!” Steph said. “Ok, well ask your moms and call my cell tomorrow! Oh and please don’t give this to anyone?” Aaron said writing down his cell phone number, “I’ve already had to change it three time because it was ringing so much.” “We won’t... we promise!” Ashley said. “Yeah thanks!” Stephanie said taking the number from Aaron’s hand. Her hand lightly touched his and he looked up and smiled at her. She smiled and blushed then took the number. “Ok well see you girls tomorrow.” Aaron said. The girls got up and hugged Aaron and left.
“Oh my gosh!!” Stephanie said as they were walking to her house. Both Britney and Ashley were spending the night, so they only had to go to one house. “He wants to hang....with us!!” Stephanie said. “I know!” Britney said. “It’s great!” Ashley said. “I’m sure my mom will let us.” Stephanie said as they walked up to Stephanie’s house. They went in and told her family everything. Her mom said they could go meet Aaron and they went up to Stephanie’s room. Her room was pink and she had a lot of posters of Aaron on the walls. The girls got ready for bed and then talked on Stephanie’s bed. They talked for a little while then went to bed.
The next morning all three girls woke up very excited! “Ok it is 10, you think he’ll be up?” Stephanie said holding the phone in one and the number in the other. “I don’t know! Maybe!” Ashley said. “Come on, call!” Britney said. “Ok, here we go!” Stephanie said dialing the number. She put it up to her ear and waited. “It’s ringing!” she said excitedly. “Hey it’s Aaron...” Aaron said. “Hey Aaron it...” Steph started to say, “I’m not around my phone right now, if this is my three home girls---leave you number and I’ll call you back! See you soon!” Aaron’s voice mail finished. “Hey Aaron! It’s your home girls!” Stephanie laughed, “Call us at my house, Stephanie‘s, at 555-6313! Bye!” Stephanie left the message and hung up, “It was his voice mail!” Stephanie wined. “Man!” the girls replied. “He’ll call back though!” she said and then they waited. They waited for about five minutes then the phone rang. “I got it!” Stephanie yelled and grabbed up the phone, “Hello!” “Is Jennifer there?” Stephanie’s younger sister’s friend Jessie asked. “Oh Jessie Jo, I’m expecting a call, please can she call you back?” Stephanie begged. “Ok, bye!” Jessie said and hung up. “Man!” Stephanie laughed. The phone rang again. “Hello!” Stephanie said. “Hey girl, what’s up?” Aaron said. “Hey Aaron!” she said. The girls squealed silently. “So can you girls hang today?” he asked. “Yeah!” she said. “Cool. Well I’ll have my limo come and pick you up and bring you to my house. Bring a swim suit and we’ll swim!” he said. “Ok!” Stephanie said, “Wait a limo!” “Yeah!” he laughed. “Cool, we’ll be ready in a few minutes.” she said. “Ok.” he said. She gave him her address and he said, “Ok my driver will be there soon. See you girls later!” he said. “Bye!” they all three said in the phone and hung up. “Ah!!” they all squealed. “We gotta get ready!” Stephanie said. They all went to get ready.
They were all ready in ten minutes. They all had on bikinis with their clothes over them and their stuff in a bag. They heard a honk outside. “That’s the limo!” they yelled. They said bye and went out to the limo. “So cool!!” Stephanie said as they got in. The driver drove to Aaron’s house. The girls were looking at all the things in the limo when they pulled up to a big house. “Wow!” they all said. They got out and the driver said, “Aaron will meet you girls at the pool. Go on out there!” then left. They went out to the pool.
The all got down to their bikinis. They all had pinkish bikinis. They were standing around looking at the pool when they heard someone say, “Pink bikinis everywhere!!” They turned around and saw Aaron. “Ha ha! That’s in your song!” Stephanie laughed. “Yeah.” he said, “Well ya’ll wanna get in?” “Sure!” they said and jumped in. Aaron jumped in right after them. They swam and goofed off for about three hours. As they were getting out Aaron said, “That was fun!” “Yeah!” the girls agreed. The girls went and changed one at a time. While Stephanie was changing, the others were talking. “Ya’ll seem like great friends.” Aaron said. “Yeah we are!” Britney said. “And Stephanie seems like a real sweet person.” Aaron smiled. “Yeah she is, even though she is older than both of us, just by a few days, she is still the baby in the group. Well not baby, but you know, the cute one.” Ashley said. “Yeah she IS cute!” Aaron said. “Yeah Steph needs to hurry up, because we have to go.” Ashley said. “Aw!! Why come?” Stephanie said as she came up. “Yeah why?” Aaron asked. “Well I have to get ready for a ballgame.” Ashley said. “And I have practice for our church play!” Britney said. “Darn! And I...well I have nothing to do... so just drag me home!” Stephanie said. “Sorry!” they said. “We can hang out and grab some dinner tonight if you want!” Aaron told her. “Really? You and me? Me and you?” Stephanie asked. “Yeah!” Aaron laughed. “That would be cool!” Stephanie said. “Ok so what time?” Aaron asked. “Meet me at the park, at 7!” Stephanie said joking. They laughed. “No I’m kidding, how about six?” she said. “I’ll see you then!” he said and hugged them all. Aaron watched as they got in the limo. “Stephanie is really cool, and pretty! I hope this can become something, and be that way for a while! I really like Stephanie, and I’m tired of being lonely!” Aaron said to himself.
